Progressions (Paintings) - 2024-2025

After generating my mixed-media series "Progressions" using 3D-Rendering and AI, the idea came up to give this work an additional layer. I decided to paint some of my works as a continuation of my concept of "pseudo natural study". The paintings are executed in acrylics and measure 60 x 40 cm.

Globster Triptych - 2025

Globsters are large carcasses of unidentified Animals that wash ashore on beaches all over the world. I use this theme as a symbol for profound repressed feelings and memories.

AI-Paintings-Part-II - 2023

These paintings are studies of images that were generated using a combination of 3D-Rendering and Stable Diffusion-AI. The works are painted in acrylics in various sizes during 2023.

AI-Paintings- 2020

These paintings are studies of images that were produced as a result of me working together with a so called GAN-breeder. The artificial intelligence is fed with a multitude of images and produces novel creations using the formal language of these pictures. They seem strangely familiar but can't be clearly put into categories. A natural study assumes that the object that is painted is somehow 'real'. With these pseudo-natural studies I confront the concept. The paintings were done in acrylics in various sizes.

Early Works 2018-2019

My early paintings often represent landscapes. I painted digitally generated objects or came up with random forms using dripping paint and gestural brush strokes. Then I imagined worlds that these beings inhabit.
